I asked God if I could see some fruit this month (I wanted to see effects of what we have been doing, to see people change, or things happen).  This trip has been full of seed planting… which is important but it is nice to see some product of your labor.

Of course He answered this prayer in a way that I wasn’t expecting but was absolutely amazing.

Prayer, prayer and more prayer…and He gave tangible answers!

You remember my friend Ellie from Romania? put link Well, every night before she went to bed we prayed together that God would remove a wart that was on her face. I continued to pray all the next month and at the beginning of this month Ellie messaged me and wrote that God caused the wart to just disappear!!!

I have this 3 by 5 note card that has impossible prayers on it. I got the idea from a conference I went to in college.  Over the past two years I have been praying through the list. One by one God has been answering them all (in different ways than I thought He would of course)!

During team time we confessed to each other lies that we have believed. After we prayed against them and were filled with truth, and asked God to help us no longer walk in the lies. Already we are seeing fruit from this! We are believing and living in the truth of what God has said through His Word!

I have been praying some of the same prayers since I was 5 years old. After years of praying for the same thing, it sure can get discouraging. But God reminded me once again during this time, of His faithfulness and His perfect timing. It was just the encouragement I needed to keep praying those prayers!

So I encourage you; pray those impossible prayers, pray those little prayers. Pray and then pray some more. Write them down so when they do happen you can remember God’s faithfulness and gracious love! Don’t give up. The treasure is worth it!

“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the LORD; be strong and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!” Psalm 27:13-14

“How good are you at waiting on God? Are you confident in this season, that you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living or are you too busy looking at your circumstances and too busy growing impatient? …Waiting is actually faith and trust in the promises of God. Waiting is actually a sign of confidence that God is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do. -Orlando Cabrera
