This month God has brought people into my life that have shown me His love for me.

First, I am a daddy’s girl (actually I am a mama’s girl too. I get the best of both worlds!) No one in the world can replace my dad. No one can give me his big bear hugs, his incredibly humble wisdom, or just the love that exudes out of him to me. Yes, I am spoiled! This month our ministry contact, Russell, showed me fatherly love. He can’t replace my dad but he sure loved me like a daughter. Russell is an incredible man. He put many of his responsibilities on hold to treat each and every one of us like his own kids. He took the time to get to know each of us personally. I had the best conversations with him about the Bible. I felt like we were on a treasure hunt together trying to find the jewels that are hidden in the Word. He humbly shared what he has learned and eagerly wanted to know what I thought. He shared his struggles to glorify God and is an incredible witness to God’s grace. He served us and gave us hugs and words of encouragement. I felt God’s love through him.

Second, I have two pretty amazing bros. They make my standards for guys super high. They have shown me how men should truly treat women. There is no one that can replace them. I am spoiled. It can be hard at times to be away from them. This month we were paired up with the team Redeeming Dust. There are two guys that are on their team. Both of them have blown me away this month! I can truly say that I have a new brother, Jamal. He has been an incredible older bro to me this month. He gets up at 5:30AM each morning so that Emily and I can run safely around the city. We get to pray on the runs and then have incredible conversations about God. He gives a true guys’ perspective, he is honest, and he isn’t afraid to say he has no clue if he doesn’t know the answer to something. Even though he is about 10 years older than me, he asks me what I think or my advice. Even living with 11 ladies his patience astounds me. He treats all of us the same and can talk to us about anything. Jamal has received God’s love and has poured it out on me.

I have incredible friends who love me for who I am. They know the dirty and ugly Teresa and still stick with me. They can’t be replaced, and they are missed greatly, but God provided Anna in my life. It honestly was love at first sight! When I was at training this summer I was pretty miserable. I looked across the room and I saw this beautiful lady coming towards me. I hadn’t said a word to her in my life, but she was filled with so much love that I could see it from across the room. She came up and asked if she could give me a hug. Since then we have been slightly obsessed with each other. I was with Anna this month. Let me just tell you, Anna has the gift of love. She knows how to love people in the way they receive love. I get to witness it with her loving on everyone on both of our teams. She is so filled with God’s love that it pours out on those around her.

Finally, God has blessed me with some amazing godly women in my life. God brought another woman into my life this month. Agnes, the lady I got to assist this month with sewing, immediately welcomed me into her life with sincerity and grace. She took the time to share about South Africa, and told me stories about her life and Pretoria. Not only that, but she took things a step further and would drive me around the city, showing me some incredible places in Pretoria that I might have never seen without her. She has such a servant’s heart and was incredibly generous to me. I got to experience God’s love through her.

Agnes took me up on a huge hill to see all of Pretoria! (If you look closely you can see all the purple trees in bloom!)

I was so overwhelmed by God’s love today when I was talking with Him. I realized how He has loved me through so many people this month.

I pray that the love that has been poured into me this month can water those that come into my life next month, and they experience His love in new and incredible ways.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:35
