Month 11 is here!  Month 11 is almost over in fact!  And God…well let’s just say He is showing off!

My time in Korea has been a beautiful testament of God’s ultimate plan to draw the nations into deep communion with Him. Korea, unlike most of the countries we’ve been to this year is a christian nation, housing the world’s largest Mega churches.

During our first week here, we were taken on a tour showing us the history of Christianity in Korea.  We started at a Missionary cemetery that held hundreds of foreign missionaries that made a decision that they would serve and die in Korea, and for the salvation of the Korean people.  They dedicated their lives to bringing the Gospel to the then, dark and lost country.  Since those missionaries dedicated their lives work to reflecting Christ in a land not there own, God blessed their work, and made the harvest great.

In turn, South Korea is now a major sending country.  Almost every other country I’ve been too this year, has had a Korean church there spreading the Gospel.  Many Korean missionaries are going to the Nations.  Korea has a special calling to share the gospel with the world, and they are going out to pour out all that has been poured into them from the Lord.

This month I’ve had the honor of serving at Jubilee Church, which name means “to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor…”  I think this is no coincidence!  I believe the Lord is bringing me into a year that will be a jubilee year towards me, and I’m excited for all the things God is birthing in my heart.

While serving here at Jubilee, I’ve been blessed to serve along side another WR team, and so both teams have served at the preschool, worked in the cafe that generates resources for missions, and served by doing maintenance and building projects for the church. We’ve also serve a community here that is often overlooked, or looked down upon by many, the homeless.  We’ve worked in a “soup kitchen” with a couple that has literally given up everything, their home and personal aspirations, in order to feed those that are hungry. They share that same passion the missionaries that came to Korea many decades ago had. Everyday this couple rises to cook for sometimes hundreds of people, mostly men that would otherwise have no food to eat that day.  They choose to love the least of these, and to pour out their lives as an offering to the Lord.

I can’t count the ways I’ve been blessed this month.  Seriously, I just can’t tell you how many times God has placed His goodness and mercy around me this month.  From food donations, to playing with laughing children every day, to enjoying the peace and joy I have to end my race with my team Deeply Rooted, and the other team, Wilderness Explorers.  God has showered His goodness and favor on me…and I’m so grateful!

To end my Race in a nation that has experienced such grace, prosperity, and transformation is a blessing to my soul.  It speaks to my heart and says that my life can make a huge difference in the nations, that my faith can be distributed and multiplied.  It encourages my heart that the work of my hands, and the steps of my feet make a difference and can do more then I think in a world that is in need of Jesus.

I’m grateful for the heart that the Lord has for Korea.  I am also grateful that He has that same heart for the rest of the world.

Wherever you find yourself today, know that God wants you to use your “sacrifice of praise” before man…to boldly live out your faith before a watching, hungry world.  For the work of your hands, and steps of your feet, HE will bear fruit in those who surround you, and you’ll be able to say about them, just like I can say about Korea today…that God so loved (insert person’s), that He gave His only begotten son, so that they may not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16).

Love & blessings,

Tera
