Howdy, everyone!
We have been in Georgetown, Guyana, for the past week trying to get our Brazilian visas. They finally passed, and we leave for Corriverton, Guyana, tomorrow! In the meantime, God provided some opportunities for us to do some ministry here and witness some incredible things while meeting wonderful people.
We attended a church conference for all the churches in Georgetown on Sunday and then we went to a specific church yesterday and did some street evangelization. We had a “street meeting” where we played some worship music and some of us shared our testimonies or encouragement and one of their pastors preached for a little bit. Two people came to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior last night! It was the first time the church had done an outreach event in that part of the neighborhood, so we were grateful to be a part of what God did there.
I have more about that in videos to come, but the Internet in the café here has not supported video uploading. Prayers that the wifi in our new location will be a little better! There will be some video to go with my words so you can see more of what God did this week. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, here are some photos from our first week in Guyana:
This is team 3125 with Team Wild Abouts. We are partnering together to work with the next ministry host!
William is a man we met yesterday in the coffee shop. Even though he is homeless, he loves God with all his heart and spent two hours telling us about who God is and what He has done in his life. William’s mom had thirteen miscarriages before she had him. She wanted a child so badly that she looked at Hannah in the Bible as an example and promised she would dedicate her child to the Lord if He gave her one. Many years later he is now blessing random missionaries who find themselves in Guyana! He wrote us a poem (English is one of the seven languages he knows), prayed with us, and shared the joy of his testimony with us. In a place as seemingly dark as here, what a blessing to know that all the darkness in the world cannot overcome the light shed by a single flame. William was that flame shining brightly to encourage us, and I’m grateful to have met him. I told him even though I may never see him again this side of heaven, I can’t wait to reunite with him in the kingdom one day. What a day that will be.

This is us praying with William. God really does have divine appointments for you everywhere. Just be open to them!
This is Chrissy sharing what God has done in her life at the street event last night! Leave it to my girl to tell her testimony with a child on her hip. Classic Chrissy. God used her and others so much last night!
Prayer requests:
-Safety in travel
-That God continues to set up divine appointments
-That god works with our two teams as we work together this week
-That we serve our host well and set up this new ministry site well for future World Race teams to follow behind us
Here is the video that just uploaded. It only took two hours to upload. More soon!
Thank you for your prayers and constant love!
Love always,
Tera
