We had some girls on our team that were really excited to see some baboons the whole time we were in South Africa. We were told to keep our windows and doors closed in the house because the baboons would come down from the mountains and try to get in to find food. We did a good job of remembering that and didn’t have any issues.
We did however ended up having a couple of encounters with baboons the day we visited Cape Point. One baboon stole our juice, but it was too heavy for him and he ended up leaving it. Another tried to steal a bag of food from Lyle (our contact Bradley’s son). He was able to wrestle the baboon and get the bag back. This video was shot during the end of our day. We left the doors open in the van and there was some food inside. Big mistake…
