Hey guys… Michael is in town with us right now and has all of the packages that have arrived to go to you guys. He currently is taking 55 lbs. to you, so you need to be ULTRA thankful. Even though the deadline for receiving stuff isn’t until March 5, the baggage is already over weight limit, so we can’t bring any more this round. We are reusing Steve’s ginormous bag (we’ll send it home afterwards, Steve!) to bring everything to you guys. Michael is being super generous and bringing the things you don’t really need – gym shorts, peanut butter, granola bars, and baby wipes – as well. He may be paying for an overweight bag twice (once back home and once to you guys) to do this for you… so please thank him properly.

Guys… we don’t want to be mean about this. We want you to have what you really need on the field. However, please just understand that “packages” becomes a dreaded word to staff and to coaches because it’s overwhelming to everyone involved. Neither us nor the Hindes are equipped to be a postal service. We want you to get all of this fun stuff, but we just aren’t capable of facilitating this. Please work together and help each other learn how to provide for things IN THE COUNTRY you are in… You really can get everything you need. After all… the people who live there survive on what’s available, right? For things that you honestly can’t get in the country, begin to ask yourself if this is something you ABSOLUTELY have to have or is this an opportunity to die to the American materialism mentality?

We love you guys and we are praying for you.   All of us in the office hope you are doing well and hear good things about your ministry.  Thanks again for your cooperation on the package front.  You’re awesome.
