My last day teaching at the school is Tomorrow…Friday. I have been passing out some support letters here, mostly to those who I know and talk to on a regular basis, and those who I know to be Christians or those who I thought would find some interest, and social studies teachers who I’m trying to find a way to help them while overseas. This morning I had one teacher who I have said not much more than hi to before, ask me some questions about mission trip I was rumored to be going on…and that her brother just came back from being a missionary in El Salvador, and a couple other latin-American countries for the past 20-25 years, and she was feeling like she now had nobody that she could follow in the mission field anymore. I happily gave her a support letter and one of my newsletters, and she asked for specific steps on how to send support money. This was out of nowhere, and I don’t know just what will materialize from it, but it was an encouragement for me…in times when I could use some encouragement in the Support Raising area!
