It depends on the route but thus far we haven’t needed a heavy duty sleeping bag…I have slept in mine only a few times… usually sleeping on top in my liner (which is important… several people have sewn their own out of a sheet but definitely tell them to bring a liner).
And you can get toiletries pretty much everywhere… bring bar deodorant and travel size of just about everything else!
Tell the girls to bring a little makeup if they wear it…(we don’t have the same skin tone as our Asian friends 🙂
