Hello! I hope you are all doing wonderfully and adjusting back to warm showers again. I hate to be Debbie Downer here but I wanted you all to hear this straight from the source. I am not going to be participating in The World Race anymore. I would love to have told you all in person and to have given hugs and said my “good-byes” face to face but I needed some time away and in prayer before making this decision. I made some great friends in the 7 days that I was there with all of you so I can’t imagine how close you all will become in 11 months. I wish you only the best and will be following you and praying for you all the way through.

I feel as if my faith and prayer life up until camp was being strengthened by God every day as I read the books that were suggested and learned more about myself and my Heavenly Father. He opened so many doors for me and prepared my heart to meet and get to know all of you and to work with you in team building exercises and learning more about eachother’s personalities. I believe that the Lord has great plans for my life, as He does for all of you, and I do still feel a great passion for missions. I think that you are going to lead many to the Lord and I hope to do that around the world too one day.

When the Lord says, “Go” we have to go and when the Lord says, “Hold on a minute” we have to obey that too. As much as I was anticipating and getting excited about 11 countries and new and exciting experiences, I trust Him and want to obey Him when He says to wait. But as I wait, please know that I will be cheering you on and supporting you in any way that I can.

God Speed, Racers!
