Okay, it seemed like enough of us wanted to do this, so I went ahead and contact Laura and set up a conference call using the service that AIM has been using. As of now, we have a prayer conference call set up for this

I did look into Skype conference calls in an attempt take the cost out of it for our Canadian teammates, but if we used that we’d be limited to 10 participants. If we get preliminary sub-teams before we leave, however, it seems like that would be a great free way to connect with our small groups.
There is something called a Skypecast which allows up to 100 participants, but from what I can gather the conference call gets listed in a directory and is open to the public…I did read that the moderator can kick people off the call, but given the personal nature of prayer requests, I’m thinking that’s probably not something we should risk allowing other people in on.
If anyone finds a different option that you think would work better and be cheaper for our Northern friends, let us know!
