“today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…”  psalms 95:7-8

1. God, is my walk with you really personal?  when has it been most personal?
2. do i really understand how to have a personal relationship?  what makes a relationship with you personal?
3. how do i hear your voice?
4. do i possess a hunger for a closer walk with you?  what would an increased hunger for a closer walk with you look like?
5. where do i start?  how can i begin to grow more in my walk with you?

imagine going out for a cup of coffee with God.  if he were one of your best friends, what would you want to tell him about?

my relationship with God is absolutely personal…yet it has only become personal over the past few years.  looking back i can see that the way that i talk to God shows the most about how our relationship changed – and the change occured the day that i began to talk
with God versus
at God.  i have also given myself up to be completely vulnerable to Him.  in doing these things, i truly began to invite Him into my heart…and He continues to break my heart down so He can fill me up with His.

to me, what makes our relationship personal is how God meets me in my world.  whether it is feeling the warmth of the Holy Spirit from the inside out or feeling terribly broken and weak, i know it is God showing Himself to me when i need to feel him because words are not enough.  our God is responsive and tenderly takes care of each of us in the ways that meet us in our time of need.  He knows what we each need, just like a parent knows just which lullaby to sing to each of their children.
