I wanted to post yet another prayer request…
Our neighbors/friends/small group members with my parents just received some bad news last night. Whitney, their oldest daughter (i think she’s 15) had not been feeling great the last couple days so they took her to the hospital. They took some tests and found out that she has a brain tumor. They are waiting to do emergency surgery until the swelling goes down, but since waiting she has also lost her eyesight and has slurred speech.
Kelli (the mom) has had a rough last couple of years. Her husband has prostate cancer and is pretty much just waiting to die within the next couple of years. This has obviously caused a huge strain on their marriage and they have had a lot of problems in the last couple of years. Whitney has gotten caught up in some bad things in the past year, getting kicked out of school for possession and possibly selling pot, and often steals money from her family. They barely make just enough money to pay the bills, and this has also caused stress on their family.
