Now that you’ve read how to put a video on your blog let’s take a step back and learn how to make one. As promised I have rounded up a few tutorials for those of you who want to learn a little about video. It turns out there is a lot of stuff on the web for iMovie and Moviemaker. I’ve included links to a nice tutorial for both. On the iMovie tutorial you can read through it or if you are more of a visual learner like me you can click on the videos on the page and they will walk you right through it. On the Moviemaker tutorial just click on the subject you want to learn about and the video will tell you all about it. I would suggest finding out who is bringing what kind of computer on your team and brush up on that program. Also I included a link to a site that has the basics of shooting and editing video.

By the way if anyone was thinking about getting a video camera, Circuit City and Sears have been having sales lately on good small video cameras. In case you don’t know what to look for here is a rundown on things you’ll want: It needs to be a Mini-DV format, and have firewire, If you can afford it an extra battery will make your life much easier. A few but not all of the good brands are Panasonic, Canon, JVC, Sony. A friend got a Canon for $189.99 a wile back so keep a look out for sales.
I hope this info helps for those of you wanting to document our trip. Have Fun! Mark
