Robin Sharma said, “investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. it will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.” (The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams & Reaching Your Destiny)
I think a lot of times we expect things to just come to us easily. We expect to have that perfect body without consistently going to the gym or changing our diet, we expect to get good grades without judiciously studying. Ah the struggle. You know the quote that says:

"Good things come to those who wait work their butts off and never give up."
Well I've made a few modifications above.
I'm so grateful to those who have generously supported me. It means so much to me that you believe in me to put your hard-earned money towards my mission! I'm so overwhelmed with your love. But even with the support I've been receiving I was no where near my first deadline of $3500. In order for me to participate in September I have to make that deadline by training camp. You can only imagine the anxiety I was experiencing the days leading up to training camp.
As I prayed over what to do, I felt God kept asking me "How much am I worth?" And my immediate answer is "God you're worth everything!" But did I really mean that? Saying God was worth everything meant He was also worthy of ALL my resources. I know I made my initial investment towards my fundraiser for the trip but God was challenging me to do more if this mission was really what I wanted. So I've decided to invest in myself. I took a leap of faith that Jehovah Jireh who provided in the past will also provide again. So there, I wrote a check to cover the large chunk I needed to make my deadline. I'm so committed to this race. I'm so committed making a difference in the world. I'm so committed to God.
Training camp seemed practically out of reach for me. I had no tent, pack, daypack, sleeping bag NOTHING but all in a day God made it all work out and I have everything I need from encounters with awesome people who let me borrow EVERYTHING. I even found a ride last minute to get to training camp which was incredible ($750 for a plane ticket was not clutch) I'm so overwhelmed with things going on in my life but I'm more overwhelmed by the favor God has been showering upon me!
I'm off to training camp, I can't wait to share all the incredible experiences with you all.
