I have been struggling for a while about what to write on this blog. Praying for the right words for a long time now. Doubting myself and my abilities to even write a blog. Today I told myself that I was just going to suck it up and write something. There was still the problem of not knowing what to write. So, I decided to pray again asking The Lord to provide and really trusting He would. As I was praying I heard a text come up on my phone. I do not think I had even gotten to the part about my blog yet. After I was done praying I checked my phone and there was a text from a good friend filled with my answer. I do not think I have ever had a prayer answered so quickly. It is amazing to see how The Lord provides we just have to trust in Him. This text was such an encouragement and challenge to me I felt The Lord saying this is what I want you to share. It’s not even my words but maybe this is God way of breaking me into this whole blogging thing.

It read:

If The Lord gave us a New Years Resolution:

1) I want you to worship Me with more freedom, emotion and passion.

2) I want you to study my word (scriptures) daily.

3) I want you to give away my love until people think you are weird.

4) Care about the people that are far from The Lord.

5) I want you to be obsessed with Jesus and not with other peoples sin.

-focus on Christ, and He will do the work.

6) I want you to discipline someone or be discipled.

7) I want you to fail greatly.

-try something new

8) Embrace my forgiveness by forgiving others.

9) I want you to share my grace with people who don’t meet your standards.

10) Bring Him that one thing you are trying to hold onto and give it to Him

It was Gods way of reminding me that He will always provide I just need to trust Him.

These are all things I need to work on. Some more than other. In striving towards these goals that God has given I know I will be better prepared for this journey ahead. He knew exactly what I needed and He provided like He always does.  I hope these 10 things are both as encouraging and challenging to you as they were me.

1 John 5: 14-15

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us,whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.
