God has done so much. To see the journey that I have come through in the last year, six months even, is amazing. I think I hardly recognize myself anymore. His love has changed me. Between His love working on my heart and all the things I realize I’m about to give up, Thanksgiving this year was very emotional and meaningful. I’ve been trying to gather my thoughts for the past few days to try to form a coherent update for you…
Basically, every day has become Thanksgiving for me. Especially now, seeing all of the beautiful faces of my loved ones, spending time with them and cherishing every moment, I have a new appreciation for who they are. Life is so fleeting, and so much can change- but to know I have the love and support of my family and closest friends is the most comforting thought. To know I always have Jesus is a priceless truth. For these things I am so thankful.
So without further ado, here is my long thought out and heartfelt list of things I am thankful for this year. ๐
1) My Papa’s redemptive love.
2) God’s forgiveness, mercy and grace.
3) The fact that God can be experienced in so many different ways, all the time. The possibilities with Him are so endless.
4) He makes life even more adventurous than you could ever imagine.
5) How God can use a single moment or a person to challenge you, make you question things you should’ve been questioning a long time ago, and change you for the better.
6) The people God has connected me with in the last few months who have challenged me and helped me grow. All the lessons. Even the really hard ones.
7) The people God has placed in my life that I can love- unconditionally and without strings.
8) My wonderful and supportive parents. Without them, a lot of my life wouldn’t be what it has become. Their support is priceless.
9) 3 names: Tammy, Holly and Whitney. You girls are my heart. You live the definition of true friendship, and I pray I can return to you the same love you give me, daily. You’re irreplaceable.
10) The best sisters you can imagine. They bring so much joy to life. ๐
11) Worship- always worship. And Psalms. Oh, the Psalms…
12) This awesome World Race family of mine. I couldn’t have asked for better people to do life with this next year. I love you guys so much!
13) Every heart break. All the pain. It’s brought me here. Wouldn’t change any of it.
14) God’s provision.
15) That I get to spend the holidays with the people who mean the most to me.
16) The job I’ve had, the people I’ve worked with, the things we’ve learned and the lessons that will go with each of us, forever. My time at Spring Hill College has been awesome. Prepared me for so much. This place will always have a part of my heart.
17) Dirty Chai Lattes. Can’t resist.
18) The gift of sight. His creation- every part- is beautiful.
19) Having a heart that can change.
20) The love of adventure that God’s given me. It’ll serve me well for the next year, I hope ๐
This is just a taste of it, but definitely the things that have been resonating in my heart the strongest for the past few weeks. Words can’t describe how thankful I am.
