Why?! That is a question I get asked every time I talk to someone about the World Race, and I still sometimes even ask myself, "Why am I doing this?" Well my answer is short, sweet and to the point: Because, Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." And those words are all I need to hear to reassure myself that I am on the path Gods has for me. I feel like He has been preparing me for this journey for sometime now, if not my whole life. I am so excited to see how He will move in and through me. This is an opportunity of a lifetime and those don't come around very often. And I am beyond grateful that He chose me for this one. I'm going on an amazing journey to amazing places I never dreamed about going to. I will be headed to: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Ukraine, Romania, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia. I leave in January of 2012 and return in November of 2012. I think I am most excited about meeting the children in all of these different places. I love playing with kids, talking to them, and loving them. They are so easily touched by God's love for them, it's amazing!
