I can not believe that month three is already over. This month we are partnering with HopEthiopia. HopEthiopia is an organization that takes orphaned children and widowed mothers to create a new family. One of the houses is going to be filled with abandoned seniors who will act as grandparents for the children. HopEthiopia provides community for the most desperate people and restores their  hope. Each home has their own garden, bathroom, each child and mother has their own bed, electricity, running water, and a community cook house for each cluster of 6 homes to cook together as one big family.
Town name here used to be a jungle 60 years ago. People began cutting down all of the trees for homes, fences, firewood, horse carts, and to make money. Before people knew it, the trees were nearly gone. The team here at HopEthiopia has a reforestation
project to help the community. This is vital in helping animals return to their old homes, the water tables to return, to keep the beautiful hills from eroding, help the air quality, help nourish the soil, and to return Harbu Chulue back to its natural state.
They are wanting to make the community a better place. They bring medical teams in from around the world to provide eye surgeries, dentistry, basic healthcare, down to bring knowledge of basic hygiene. HopEthiopia even sponsors families in the community, providing food, education for the children, clothing, blankets, really any basic need.  Since HopEthiopia has come to Harbu Chulue  in 2009, has grown from 2,500 people to over 6,000 They provide over 50 local people full time positions, and seasonal work for over 300 people. HopEthiopia has provided lift to this community, from jobs, food, hope, to making
Harbu Chulue a much better place in only 6 years.
