Hello hello! Sorry its been so long since I’ve given you guys an update! I am getting SO STOKED about this trip! At this point I have almost all my gear and it’s all starting to feel more real now. Getting to go to REI so much and buy cool things has made me happier than Christmas ever has.
I have a VERY big deadline coming up very soon! I was actually just told that I must have $9,000 raised before training camp. Its an absolute must. So far I have $5,000 raised (although my blog says I have less because it needs updated), so I still need about $4,000 in order to attend training camp. Training camp is coming up quick! 10 days to be exact. Having less than a week and a half might seem an overwhelmingly short amount of time to meet the deadline, but I have complete peace and faith that God will provide. With that being said I would like to ask you all to please pray and consider funding me! It would mean the world to me and I believe God will bless you. If you aren’t able to fund me right now its okay because there are two more deadlines. I need 10,500 by August 21st and then I need to be fully funded by Oct 31st. I leave for this journey at the beginning of September so of course it would be nice to be funded by then.
It is so cool to see his faithfulness and watch how he uses his people to provide and then blesses them for their faithfulness. Even though I don’t have all the money raised, I praise God for what I do have! Before I was even accepted to world race I got a call from people that live out of state and have no idea who I am, because they wanted to support me. Thats just one example of God’s confirmation and goodness in my life. The fact that he called random strangers to fund me as much as they did is proof to me of Gods provision and faithfulness. I’ve seen God not only bless me, but also the people who have been faithful to him and supported me. One very generous donor gave with faith even though to many it wouldn’t seem realistic for them to give like they did. God ended up blessing them immensely and it was so cool for me to be a part of that and see that.
In a few days I will post an update on how God is preparing my heart and stiring things in me. I feel I’ve taken enough of your time with this post so I will give you a short break. Thank you so much for taking the time to be a part of this season of my life.
