I’d rather embrace this World Race lifestyle…

I’d rather have cracked skin on my heels from wearing Chaco’s everyday instead of spending too much money on pedicures.

I’d rather drink out of the same lime green Nalgene for 11 months than decide which turvis tumbler to use.

I’d rather love on animals who are neglected than only my puppy and kitties who are already well taken care of.

I’d rather have 21 roommates in Swaziland and sleep beside 9 other girls in Thailand instead of having an apartment all to myself.

I’d rather use the restroom in a squatty potty in Asia, outhouse in Africa or even find a place to go on the grass instead of not having an adventure when using the facilities.

I’d rather have to follow the buddy system than run errands by myself.

I’d rather wake up to laughing children in Cambodia than the same obnoxious alarm clock every morning.

I’d rather walk 30 minutes total to and from church in Swazi instead of getting frustrated by traffic in my SUV.

I’d rather have feedback sessions with my team everyday instead of not calling my friends up into who God has called them to be.

I’d rather have a tarantula sized African spider in my bathroom… than… umm… (I’m still working that one out with Jesus).

I’d rather wake up an hour earlier to help cook breakfast for 40 other people in South Africa instead of eating cereal by myself.

I’d rather hand wash my clothes instead of always relying on a machine to do it for me.

I’d rather sing and dance while I shower in the rain instead of always bathing inside.

I’d rather embrace this World Race lifestyle instead of clinging to the comforts I had back home.

Fundraising update:

I still have to raise $2,757 by January 1st in order to stay on the field until the end of May 2014.

I am trusting that God will provide this amount through people like you who want to continue to see me grow in Him and serve Him throughout these next 5 months.

You can support me by clicking here.  Thank you!
