So here's where I tell you that I tend to be very passionate about things that really touch my heart.
January 1-4 of this year I went to the Passion Conference at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

I'll start off by saying God answered my prayers when it came to community. As soon as I returned home for this year prior to the World Race, I longed for a group of Christ followers who I could truly call my friends.
I found them.

Okay, now that you've met my friends…
Here's the important part.
There are more slaves in the world now than there has EVER been.
Let that sink in.
There are 27 million people in slavery… right now.
Some of you might know this, but most of you do not.
If you don't have your jaw dropped to the floor then let me further explain.

This is a monumental problem nationwide.
If we do not take a stand for these men, women, boys and girls… then WHO WILL?
Seriously. Take a second and put yourself in their shoes.
I was told a story about a FOUR year old girl in Cambodia.
She was probably still unable to pronounce all of her words correctly, but she was exploited.
A family member (are you kidding me!) forcefully took her innocence from her.
- Mealea experienced ongoing physical and sexual abuse and unimaginable cruelty from the people in her life that should have been protecting and raising her into a beautiful young woman.
- Instead, these family members used Mealea for income, by selling her body to men willing to pay for sex. Over and over, Mealea was raped, beaten, and starved.
After 5 years of working as a sex slave, Mealea, now 9 years old, was rescued and placed in a recovery home for children in Cambodia.
The number of people just like Mealea who are ruthlessly enslaved around the world is heartbreaking.
Sadly, most of their stories do not end with FREEDOM.
From factories to brothels to private homes to fields, more than 27 million people are living as modern-day slaves with little hope of rescue.

Please join us in giving FREEDOM to those who have no voice.
Take 27 seconds of your time to help pledge to end slavery for the 27 million.
