So much happening and so little
time to share! I have so much
going on in life right now and I want to share it with all of you, but for now
I’ll just give highlights as I don’t even know how to process it myself…lol! Have no fear though, God is doing
amazing things and I’m having an amazing time…it’s all joy!
First, we have trying to reach
our destination of Mozambique from S. Africa for just short of a week now. Our first stop was Joburg and then we
started with what would soon become our common denominator of
problems…travel. After staying in
a hostel for a couple of days we finally found a van that would take us to the
bus station, but only 9 at a time.
8 hours later, we were all at the bus stop ready to go to Nelspruit, S. Africa…which
is where we are now.
We arrived at a home that was a
dream come true…a clean and comfy house whose main purpose is to house
missionaries. Papa Kent and Mamma
Shea are some of the most generous, big-hearted and funny people I’ve ever
met. They‘ve fed us like kings,
they’ve provided an amazing place for us to sleep and hang out as a squad. After being here for a day or so, a
lady stopped by the house out of the blue. She had been here before, but this time she was actually on
her way home until God called her to stop in Nelspruit at this house. The Lord told her to go and pray for
the leaders of the group that had been staying there. In her obedience, she listened not knowing what was going
on. As our leaders began to grow
frustrated with the lack of ability to transport 52 people to Mozambique, God
decided to snicker. The woman came
and said that she was called to pray for them. She continued to share that we still had work to do as a
squad because our next 5 months (didn’t know we were half way done) was going
to look totally different than our first 5 months. In short, we were not prepared to go to Mozambique just
yet.

So after days of having fun
together, pouring into each other and praying we still reside in Nelspruit, but
we are completely at peace with it.
God is birthing gifts in us, growing us closer not only as teams, but as
a squad and getting things done.
We wait eagerly, but in rest for what the leaders will bring to us. We have no idea what that will look
like. It could be all 52 of us
going to Mozambique or it could be our squad breaking into smaller teams and
traveling to different countries.
Whatever happens I still know that camping in the bush and much more
still awaits my arrival, but for the first time that sounds exciting to me…I
know God is all over this one, as He always is!!!!
Other than that, God has me in a
great place. As soon as I process
what God is doing in my life, I will let you all know. For now, thank you so much for all your
prayers and support. This year is
truly amazing and besides giving all glory to God, I thank you sooooo much from
the bottom of my heart. I love you
all and can’t wait to share this second half of The World Race with
you!!!!!!!!!!!! J
