We've made it to Zambia and already have many new friends!

My team and I arrived in Zambia on Sunday and headed to the hostel we booked with all our gear in tow and no inkling about what our month would look like as the Unsung Heroes team (looking for new ministry contacts for the World Race in Zambia)…

But in just 5 days time, here is a list of the unique people we've met:
– A student from Yale working on a vaccine refrigeration project
– Two British gentlemen who work for a charity that runs soccer clinics and teach about HIV/AIDS awareness
– A Peace Corps Veteran who's now lived here 5 years and works the reception desk
– A Zambian man who competes in national scrabble matches
– An Irish man who's schedule is still not understood
– A couple from Colorado who have dreamt of traveling around Africa and saved up for a number of years to come learn about the culture here
– A former World Racer who was a squad leader and happened to book the same place
– A Zambian man who invited us to lunch with the Zambian First Lady…
And these are just the people within the walls of the hostel! We've also already started meeting with ministry contacts who deserve proper recognition in a separate blog.
Please be in prayer for our team as we seek to meet more ministries here! Enjoy the strangers you're around in your neighborhood!
