Here’s the truth:

God doesn’t “need” me. He’s God. He can move a mountain faster than I
can blink an eye. But… I have volunteered to be a tool for his work.
And serving through the World Race ministry model is the way he has
called me during this time of my life. Maybe right now you are serving
him by loving your spouse and children every day- even when it’s hard.
By bringing positive energy to your workplace. By listening when your
friend needs someone to talk to. By saying no to something unhealthy
in your life. And every day that we are doing these things, the
benefits go beyond our immediate circle. I know you can remember
random people in your life that said or did something impactful for
you. Something that caused a minute shift in your core, your spirit.
That was them acting as a tool for the good work The Lord is
consistently doing in every life. We are in this together, no person
is alone. And I am not doing this year alone, or even with just 41
people. It is so much bigger. And it needs to get bigger every day.
Right now there is a great opportunity to connect through funding.
Money often gets blown off as a connection point because,
unfortunately, people have been taken advantage of in this area
before. My perspective is that it is our most direct ability to effect
change by understanding where this precious resource (that literally
the whole world is fighting for) can go to spur on good works.
Billions of dollars go into the advertising industry just to win our
money. Your spending/investing habits are powerful. I’m asking you,
today, to use a small portion of your power to invest in the lives of
kids, families, schools, communities, countries, the world, the future
by helping support this year of work. I need to raise $4,500 in the
next two months to reach my final deadline and stay on this mission.
My toolbox for this year includes my hands, feet, time, energy,
prayers. What tools do you have? One tool that we all have to freely
give is prayer. And I hope through this tool The Lord can help lead
you to the way you can best invest in the work. Is it $25? A monthly
donation? Committing your tithe for one month? A bake sale fundraiser?
A sale commission? It can look so many different ways and every penny
is so precious and equally appreciated. When I signed up, I knew it
was going to be a humbling experience to reach out for financial
support because I alone can not fund this year. And who likes to talk
about money, anyway? God doesn’t want it to be that way. He intended
this to be a community supported ministry. The stories of faithful
giving have blown me away from the very first donation. I believe
people are inherently good, cheer on good, and celebrate good. Help
cheer on and celebrate this year! Be a tool with me!
