Well here goes… MY FIRST BLOG!
I applied for the World Race a few months ago after feeling led to it. Then my calling was confirmed one incredible night. My friend had been telling me to attend his school’s worship night. One week, I decided to actually take him up on the offer and go to the service. On the car ride there, I was talking to two of my friends about the World Race. I told them I didn’t feel like I was worthy to go because I’m relatively new in my faith and still have SO much to learn. That night, there was a world leader in prophecy. And what was she prophesying? Of course, serving the nations. She had been saying people were called to specific countries, but then at one point she said, “One of you is feeling like your faith may not be strong enough, but you are being called to NATIONS!” Not just one country. Nations. I immediately started bawling because I knew God was using her to speak to me.
Exactly two weeks ago, I got the call telling me that I was accepted to go on The World Race. I was actually at work so I missed it, but a few minutes later I checked my phone and saw a missed call and voicemail. I knew right away that it was someone from Adventures in Missions because of the area code, so I rushed to a quieter area to call them back. When they told me I was accepted to go, I was so excited I had no words! I went back to my desk with the cheesiest grin on my face. The poor girl that I was training must have thought I was crazy for being so giddy, but I couldn’t contain my excitement and still can’t! The Lord has done so much work in my life in such a short amount of time and I can’t wait to share that with the world over the next 11 months!
I know this is what I am being called to do and God will provide through people like YOU! Since I was just recently accepted, I am a little behind on raising funds for this amazing adventure that lies ahead of me.
