I had an incredible opportunity to go on a safari while in
Nairobi for de-brief, thanks to my madre, who sponsored me. We rode a mini-van
through Lake Nakuru. Hanging out the windows & sun-roof, we spotted zebras,
white rhinos, a black rhino, giraffes, baboons, water buffalo, flamingoes &
lots of huge birds. Unfortunately, it was too hot for the lions to be out…
better luck next time. On our way to Lake Nakuru, we made a pit-stop at the
Great Rift Valley view point, which was beautiful.
