I truly believe that we have forgotten what Love really
is!  And I think that one of the
groups that has really forgotten about Love is the Church!

I believe that love, was created by God, a natural creation of
our God.  He is the greatest
example of Love!  He loves us and
has always loved us unconditionally.
No matter what we do or have done, no matter who we are, and no matter
what we believe…HE LOVES US!  HE YEARNS FOR US!  HE CRIES OUT FOR US!  HE LONGS FOR US!  HE DESIRES US!   GOD IS LOVE!

In 1 John 4, it says, “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God
has for us.  God is love, and
whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”

God IS love!

When we
love, we are doing what God is!

One of the things that the Church tries to claim that they
want is to be more like Christ!
Well…it’s actually a lot simpler than we allow it to be.  God is not a tricky God!
Because He loves us so much, He has made it real easy to look and to be
more like Him…we are the ones that complicate the simplicity of it.

God gave us a new commandment, to love one another as He has
loved us!
You can find
this in John 13:34.  I’ve explained
a little on how He loves us, no matter what!  And yes, that does include homosexuals, teen mothers,
adulterers, rapists, murderers, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Catholics,
Buddhists, Muslims, atheists, and the church.  God loves ALL of us!
It’s as simple as that!  We
are not God…but I hope to be more like Him!  I want to abide in love!

I’ve had so many conversations that result in
frustration…and these are with Believers!
The conversations always revolve around theology!  Yep!  Theology and rules.
I want people to grasp that theology has nothing to do with God’s
commandment!  There is no box of
rules that you have to go by when it comes to love.  God said to Love one another as He loves us!  So…go and love people!  Hang out with the prostitutes, the drug
addicts, the homosexuals, the rapists, the drunks, the teen mothers, and the
Church!  Go and love them!  Carefree love!  Unconditional love!  Yeah, you may not agree with how they
live or what they do, but who are you to judge!  Do you think God really agrees with everything we
do…probably not, but He still loves us!
Besides, remember the type of people Jesus hung out with?  Yep…people society considered flawed
and not right with God.

So, like 1 John 4:7 says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is
from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”

So, let me ask you some questions:

1)
If you are ministering to a prostitute who has
trust issues with men and has never had interactions from people just because
they care, but from people who want something from her, then do you really
think she would care whether you went to a Baptist seminary or Presbyterian
one?

2)
You meet a drunk who has been struggling with
drinking his whole life.  He comes
from a past and a family of drinkers.
He has never felt confident in being able to accomplish anything and
would rather drink.  Do you think
it’s appropriate to tell him that communion should be taken in one style?

3)
Are you going to argue that abortion is wrong
and that if you choose that route you are a murderer and are going to hell when
a teen mother confides in you of her choices?  Or are you going to love her?

Are you going to choose to love all of these people and put
aside your own ideas of what is right?
Are you going to abide in love?
Are you going to bring hope and love rather than judgement and
condemnation?

I know
what I want to choose!  I want to
know love more!  I want to know God
more!  I want to abide in God!
