So….I thought I should reveal one of my obsessions in life! I think it’s important for people to know the real me! I know some of you reading this blog will already understand this obsession of mine, and some of you may be curious after reading my blog! So here I go….I’m telling the whole world (or whoever reads this blog) one of the obsessions I hold dear to me!
I’M OBSESSED WITH CHACO’S!
There! I told you! I place them very high on my list of amazingness! Some of you are probably laughing at me right now, maybe some of you are disappointed that I didn’t say something more important (like something completely emotional or a Bible verse or something), and maybe some of you are smiling and agreeing whole-heartedly that buying a pair of Chaco’s are one of the best investments ever! I know I probably should have shared something more related to my spiritual growth with Christ….but I wanted so badly to share THIS with you all! And seriously, Chaco’s are AMAZING!
I bought my first pair back in the summer of ’05 with my S.O.S. co-workers! We all decided to get us a pair b/c we heard how amazing they were! I was curious about their amazingness, and luckily, they weren’t quite as popular then as they are now! I have this thing about things that become popular not for how amazing they are, but because people just want them so that they can feel popular or fit in…they want them for a fashion trend! So…I got a pair and I’ve been hooked ever since! I had one pair of Zong-style Chaco’s until just recently when I, after a really long chat with myself, decided that I should buy another pair with back-straps for the World Race! You see, my dear and precious first pair I have are starting to fray a lot (well, the straps are), and my heart was broken when I found out that the style I have was one of the styles that they cannot replace the straps on, but they will for sure replace the soles! I cannot tell you how sad I am about that! So….I decided to invest in a new pair so that I can have a pair of Chaco’s on the World Race that I won’t have to worry about breaking while there! It was one of the hardest decisions to make! And I decided to go ahead and get a new pair now so that I had time to break them in enough before I started the World Race! I’ve retired my old pair (but I’m still going to wear them occasionally, and I plan on sending them off to repair the soles when I return from the World Race), and amazingly enough….I LOVE MY NEW PAIR TOO!
So…I wanted to share my story of my obsession with Chaco’s, so that you would know how truly GREAT AND AMAZING they are! I wear my Chaco’s everyday (well…just about); I have since the first day I got them! I think everyone needs a pair….not because they are a fashion trend and popular, but because they really are the best….WELL WORTH IT! So…to all my friends, family, supporters, soon-to-be teammates, and anyone else reading this…..you should invest in the Chaco brand….GET YOU A PAIR!
