So…I just wanted to let you all know a little bit about where I stand financially, what my plans are, and the prayer requests that I have!
First, I still can’t believe that I am leaving in less than five months for the World Race…I’m so excited! Time sure has flown by! And praise Jesus for what I already have financially…I have $2,500 cash in my account! It’s definitely a blessing, and I thank all of you who have contributed! But, I still have $11,300 to raise! I have to admit that it has been hard for me to completely have faith that God will provide, but luckily, He has blessed me with some amazing friends that remind me that things will be alright! I know I still have about 4 1/2 months before I leave, which is plenty of time to still raise more support! I’ve visited a few churches here in Starkville to ask for their support or sponsorship! I still have so much more to do….if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!
Secondly, I’m so excited because I get to work at S.O.S. again this summer! S.O.S. is a ministry summer camp in the Binghampton neighborhood of Memphis, TN! We share the Gospel through construction ministries! I love this place….it was pretty much the introduction to my love for the poor and international ministries! So…I get to work here all summer until training camp begins which is August 2-10, 2008. I’m so excited about what is to come!
So…lastly…here are my prayer requests:
1) That I will spend more time with Christ and grow closer to Him!
2) That my financial support will continue to come in!
3) That I will completely step out of my comfort zone!
4) That there will be unity between the October 2008 World Race Team!
5) That my family will feel more at ease about me going around the world!
