Two years ago if you had asked me where I felt the Lord leading me on the mission field, I could not give you an answer.  But  I could tell you where I did not feel him leading me.  That was to South America and to Africa, although I couldn’t tell you why.  Isn’t the Lord funny though.  The majority of the world race this year has been spent in South America and now also in Africa.   The Lord has been changing my heart for these nations, specifically Africa.  I never thought I would have a love for the people without ever meeting one person.

Pretty much the second we arrived in South Africa I felt my heart beating a little bit quicker and found that I was overwhelmed with joy.  I was and am excited to be in Africa.  Despite a 36 hour drive from South Africa to Mozambique, the joy was still there. the excitement was still within me.  Yesterday we were able to attend church at the center where we are staying.  I have never experienced anything like the joy that was in that place.  Pure genuine joy of the Lord.  People were dancing and singing with everything that was in them.  They were filled with the Holy Spirit.

I want that joy.  I want joy that comes from the Lord.  I want nothing of me and all of you Lord.

“For the joy of the Lord is my strength”
