Good bye South America, Helloooo Africa!  After 4 days of travel, including a stop in New York to see my Fabulous loved ones and another stop in United Arab Emirates and we finally made it!  We had a few days to debrief in a little town in the country called Badplaas.  It was a great time of refreshing and trying to catch up on jet lag.  It was absolutely beautiful!!!  Surrounded by mountains and beautiful wildlife!!! We were invited to our host’s home, which backs up to a reserve!  We saw giraffes in love and literally “necking”, zebra’s grazing and wilder beasts running!  It was the highlight of my day!  To actually see them in their own habitat was surreal and magnificent!  Africa is about 6 hours ahead of home.  At 6 pm. things are winding down, stores are closing and the sun is setting, however, life is in full swing at home at 12 noon.  It takes some adjusting.

Our team of 5 (less the other 22, for the first time) is ministering in the province of Mpumalanga, where there is a small area called Back Door.  We will be working with preschoolers and helping in a feeding program.  More on that in the next blog.

They speak Afrikaans here.  An amazing language full of clicking noises and tongue drops.  Sometimes we are blessed enough to communicate with white people and those who know some English.

We never know where we will be sleeping or for how long.  Where we are at now will soon be changing in the next week.  I have no idea what kind of conditions…..

Short on time.  Gotta go.

Until then…

Much Love!!!
