Our teams (Salt and Lego)are taking a small holiday for two reasons. One we need to leave Swaziland before our visa’s expire since we are staying longer than 30 days. The second reason is to have some team bonding time after accessing and preparing programs for teachers and teens in the Nsoko region of Swaziland. I am mostly involved with the afterschool teen program so I’d like to share with you some of the specifics that will be going on after we return from this rejuvenating holiday.
Monday, we will begin posting fliers promoting our teen after school program starting Wednesday and Thursday. (note to prayer warriors-please cover this) We are doing the teen programs at the two locations which are near area schools, starting roughly around 15:00 lasting an hour or so, each location having it’s own day. This first week we will be formally introducing ourselves and getting to know some of the teens by bonding over games, songs/music, skits, and a Q and A with testimonies. The following week we will have an additional 2 programs per location, leaving an option for the next week depending on interest levels. In this time we ultimately want to share what Jesus has done in our lives and let these teens know that He wants to be there for them in this confusing stage of life and ALWAYS.
