Thank you SO much for checking out my blog! It might be a constant work in progress, but, hey, what in life isn’t?! I really do hope that you add this site to your list of favorite things to check so you can follow me on my journey through 11 countries!
SO WHAT IS THIS WORLD RACE??
The World Race is an 11 month long Christian mission trip where I will join about 36 other people (my squad-the R squad!) and travel to 11 countries. In each country, we will live in the slums doing Christian ministry. This ministry will be done while living among the people we are trying to reach. This idea is based on the way that Christ himself came to live AMONG the lost-the sinners-the broken. I will be joining 5 other girls (my team-The Liberators!) to live in tents, mud huts, stick huts, caves, orphanages, etc. We will spend our days doing every kind of service work you can imagine. Repairing homes, carrying water from the streams into the houses, teaching bible classes, praying in AIDS clinics, holding orphans, showing pure love to child prostitutes, and so many things that even I myself can’t imagine just yet! We will spend our 11 months liberating the people of the world from the lies they are trapped in-the lie that they are worthless-the lie that nobody loves them-the lie that there is no hope-the lie that they are destined for a life of darkness. The World Race is a way to love on the “least of these”, a way to bring the kingdom of God to this earth. The World Race is my response to God’s call to go to the nations.
