I apologize for just now blogging about the team changes and all the other changes that have been going on since my squad and I left Nicaragua, but it has been busy. The day before we started traveling to Thailand the whole squad experienced a makeover. All the teams were changed up. Normally not all of the teams would have been changed as the new squad leaders are raised up, but we ended up having two male squad leaders raised up so that meant that some major changes needed to happen. During this time three new team leaders were also raised up to replace the new squad leaders. Our squad still has six different teams expect now two of those are all girl teams and the rest are mixed. That was a rough day emotionally for all of us. A lot of tears were shed because of the connections that were made in old teams, but at least we are all still on the same squad and we get to see everyone at least once a month for travel days. I am now on one of those all girls’ teams. I have been blessed with a team of five girls: Trena-new team leader, Suzanne, Leslie, Beka, and Anjali. We have decided to call our team “Freedom Fighters”. Trena, Suzanne, and I were all on Happy Feet together so that wasn’t a huge change but the rest of the girls are new for me. We are still working on learning about one another, and becoming close as a team. It’s exciting and a little sad to be moving on to a new season here on the race, but I know that God has some awesome plans ahead of us! 🙂
