Now, I’m not talking about the cross eyed that you are thinking about, but a different one that you will actually want to experience. I’m talking about being so focused and infatuated with God that you become cross eyed, literally. You only see the cross as you go throughout your daily life. Impossible you say? You just can’t see how you can glorify God while being upset about being stuck in traffic? You can’t see yourself praising God when your boss and/or coworkers drive you up the wall every day? It’s not impossible. Everything is possible through Christ who provides us strength. Check this out.

A life that is completely filled with worship should look like the Bible says. Everything that you say and do you are doing so that God is glorified through it.
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Jesus” Colossians 3:17
Are you digging a ditch? Sing to Jesus as you dig. Are you wiping drool off of a mentally handicapped teenager? Tell them how much God loves them. Are you in a group of friends hanging out around town? Share the Gospel with someone. How about when you are visiting people in the hospital and they are very sick? Pray over them and have confidence that God hears you and will bring peace to that person, whatever that means for them. You can even praise God in the bathroom. Every time you go to the bathroom praise God that you have a properly functioning digestive system. Haha ๐ I’m sure you can think of other things to praise God for in your life.
Everything, and I mean everything, that you do God can and will receive glory for in one way or another.
So what about those times when it feels absolutely impossible to praise God? Choose to praise him anyways. Because praising God is a desire that lies in all of God’s children it’s just that sometimes it’s so easy to become distracted by the world and living our daily lives that we forget to praise God for the little things. Pray for God to open your eyes to how to bring glory to His name in all things. He’ll show you, don’t worry. Refocus your gaze on God in all of His glory, truly, and I almost guarantee that you will be singing and smiling like a crazy person ๐ haha.
So when you start getting cross eyed it’s a good thing. No need for corrective lenses. Embrace the fact that you are crazy in love with God and it doesn’t matter if the world looks at you crazy because you are here to please God, not the world. You will be blessed for walking a life focused on God.
This is just one of the amazing things that God has been teaching me lately ๐
