I thought it would be a good idea to let you guys in on some facts about my fundraising process. Before I get into the nitty gritty details of fundraising I thought I'd give you facts about support raising and what your donation will go towards.
FACTS:
I dislike asking people for money. A lot. That is a big pride issue that I have. BUT God is working with me on that.
I will not raise enough support for this trip without your help, and without the help of my family in Christ.
Your money will go towards food, travel, and lodging for the entire 11 months that I am gone.
The money that you give will provide a way for me to travel to different countries and personally love on the poor, hurting, lost, sick, and the unloved.
With this blog you will be able to see your money at work, first hand. I know most of you have given to charity or a missions project at one time or another, but when was the last time you got to see how far your dollar(s) went.
Your money will not be providing me a vacation full of luxuries for the duration of my trip. It will in fact take me to some of the most destitute, horrific, and rancid places that can be found in the world. The beauty of it is despite the situation we will be surrounded by my squad and I will get to show them the beauty of Christ amidst the squalor. This is not a vacation.
Your money is actually not your money…it's God's money. Use the monetary blessing that you have to bring comfort, food, and love to someone less fortunate.
No matter how much you are able to give you WILL be making a difference in someone's life. Put your spare change to use. A dollar goes a lot farther in other countries than here. A starving child can have enough food for a WHOLE day with $1.
The support I raise will be used to bring the Kingdom of Heaven down to Earth. You pray this prayer, now let's make it real!
Now for the dates and amounts needed for support raising.
$150 Deposit – Due 8/8/2011 (2 weeks after you’re acceptance date.) – MET!
$3,500 – Due 10/2/2011 (2 weeks before Training Camp) – MET!
$6,500 – Due 12/18/2011 (2 weeks prior to your trip) – only $1,363.30 left to raise!
$11,000 – Due 4/1/2012 (End of 3 months on the field)
$15,500 – Total Due 7/1/2012 (End of 6 months on the field) – only $10,363.70 left to raise!
Ways to offer financial support:
There are two major ways that you can support me on this journey that God has called me to go on. By making a check out to Adventures in Missions, in the note section put my name, and mail it to Adventures in Missions P.O. Box 534470 Atlanta, GA 30353-4470. (If you are interested in getting a tax deduction for your donation you must mail or give me the check first so I can include a slip that has the 501 information) If you choose to donate online with a credit/debit card you don't have to worry about getting the slip of paper it will take down your information for the deduction in the process of donatiing. Another option of giving is doing so monthly. If you are interested in this you may choose this option on the online donation, and they will automatically draft you on the date you choose every month. You must select when you want the drafting to end.

If you are interested in donating to help me reach my next deadline then this information is for you! Donations that will help me meet my Dec. 18th goal need to be in the account BEFORE the 18th. To make this happen if you donate by check please mail the check BEFORE Dec. 3rd to allowing time for processing. If you want to donate by credit/debit then I ask you to do so BEFORE Dec. 16th to allow processing time.
Pleae pray and consider offering me any type of support that you can. A squadmate figured out these options for donating…maybe you will see one that sounds do-able for you!
1. $5.00/month for six months
Total: $30.00 (or one time donation) = 0.07 cents/day for 1 year!
2. $7.50/month for one year
$100.00 (or a one time donation) = 0.25 cents per day for one year!
3. $20.00 per month for 6 months
$180.00 (or a one time donation) = 1.00 per day for 6 months!
4. $80.00 per month = $20.00 per week
$1,00.00 (or a one time donation) = $2.75 per day for one year!
