Please forgive me for allowing so much time to pass since my last update… I have tons of exciting news that I'm just bursting to share. So get comfortable and enjoy a good story of how awesome and mighty our God is 🙂
FIRST: I have officially defeated the first deadline that I needed to reach before training camp!!!!!!!!!!! Praise The Lord!!!! I know I could not have done it without His help, and of course the willing servants of Him that gave to support me so far! Thank you from every part of me for all of the support, prayers, and encouragement that you all have provided me with! It's been truely awesome seeing how God is using me and the people surrounding me for His glory…even if I have never met them! We have a saying in my squad, EBT (expect Big things), and we do. All day every day we expect Big things from our Big God!!! I love my squad and I haven't even met them yet!
SECOND: Which brings me to the next bit of news. May I present to you my squad, E squad. Thank you, thank you very much! Our team color will be white too! Woot woot! You can bet that I will be rockin some E squad pride at training camp!
THIRD: Speaking of training camp…that is another part of the exciting news. Training camp is now less than a week away!!!!! Gosh. I don't think that it has actually sunk in yet that all of this is really happening 🙂 I will also be having a few squadmates come and stay with me the night before we leave for camp and I'm super stoked about that too!
FOURTH: I got to talk to my home church yesterday, and I'm super stoked! I'm praying that they were encouraged by my words and excited as I am about what God is going to be doing in 2012! I know God has great plans for my church and I as we band together for His glory!!! I mean for reals tho..A group of believers focused on glorifying God will surely not fail in what we do!!! Get ready Oakwood Baptist Church because God is going to rock the world in 2012, and they will most definitally know that Chattanooga TN serves a mighty and loving God. Like I said in church yesterday the E squad will not be going on a cool trip to see the sights, we are going on this trip to see the poorest of the poor in the dirtiest places around the world BUT while there we are going to show them the BEAUTY of Christ and How they can be made clean through the blood of Christ and become RICH Princes and Princesses of OUR KING!!! So. Stoked. 🙂
FIFTH: Wonderful news from one of my teammates, Bethany Bernard, She is only a few hundred dollars shy of OUR TOTAL FUNDRAISING AMOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, you read that right. In about 2 weeks God provided her with the TOTAL amount that we will need for the year…IN ONLY TWO WEEKS! EBT!!!! Wow guys…. How awesome is our God?!? If that doesn't prove that this CAN be done and that God WILL provide I don't know what is! I'm soooo excited for her and for how God is going to use her to touch the nations next year, along with our whole squad!!
SIXTH: MY GOD ROCKS MY WORLD DAILY AND WE ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD IN 2012.

One thing that was made clear to me the other day is this: Your money is actually not yours…or mine…it's God's. We are just stewards of His endless wealth! Donating makes it possible for Him to use the money He has borrowed us do His work! Donate money to honor God and His calling to all believers to care for "the least of these"! My squadmate Helena Jordao has written some awesome blogs supporting and using your wealth to glorify God. I encourage you guys to check out her blogs and see the gift that God has given her in communication!
