I thought I would let everyone know what I am planning on doing in terms of fundraising so far. I haven't made too many plans yet, but I do have one or two ideas that I am really excited about!
The one that I am getting stoked about is an event I thought up that I am calling "The Amazing Race around the World in the 'Noog". If you haven't guessed it yet it is modeled after the "Amazing Race" tv show. Participants will be following clues that I leave at certain destinations that eventually lead to the end point. Everyone will get a prize. The winners will get a trophy, prize, and hopefully tons of fun memories! I am making it where there are 11 different clues based on the 11 different countries that I will be visiting on The World Race. I will have a fact about the country, and then relate that fact to something in Chattanooga. Some of the destinations will require the teams of two to perform a task before they can get their next clue. There may or may not be a zoo keeper involved with one of these tasks 🙂 haha.
Soo yeah I think this is a pretty exciting event that I am working on. I am also considering bracelets from a company called "Threads of Hope". This company is based in the Phillipines and local women make these bracelets by hand to have an honest way to support their families. Sounds like a great opportunity for these Phillipino women as well as for me. I still have yet to finalize any details for that though.
