Today is day six, that means you guys have been in prayer with me for near a week! The encouragement that I have received from you guys leaves me in awe. The Lord knows that I have been in need of encouragement these past few days, and has answered my prayers through you guys.
Safety: Day Six
I can’t even tell you how many times I have been told to stay safe! And to everyone concerned for my safety, I will be smart, and try and be as safe as possible. I promise!
No really, I pinky promise. But that being said, even if I wrapped myself in bubble wrap, wore a helmet 24/7, and stayed inside all the time there is no guarantee that I will be completely safe.
The Lord never said that following Him would be easy, comfortable, and he certainly never said it would be guarenteed, 100% safe.
That isn’t easy to hear.
But I am putting my trust in the Lord.
Because the cool thing about all of this is that He is in control. No matter what country I am in, that never changes.
I am doing all that I can to stay safe on my end. I have all of my vaccinations up to date, I have a little first aid kit, I have done my research, I have taken online safety classes, I even took a self defense class. I will be street smart, and ask for advice.
But when it comes down to it, the world is unsafe, but I can assure you that safety will be a priority.
I ask that you be praying for our safety. Pray that no matter the situations we are in, we will be able to experience the Lord’s protection. And no matter where we are, we will be able to remain safe.
