Hello everyone!

My name is Sydney Dague. I’m from Monroe, a small town in North East Indiana (Midwest is best!). I will be graduating from Adams Central High School in June of 2017 and in September of 2017 I will be departing on a Gap Year World Race. This is a 9 month mission trip (yes, this does mean that I will not be attending college in the fall) on which I will be visiting 5 countries. Among these countries are the Dominican Republic, Botswana, South Africa, the Philippines and Haiti. While on the Race I will have the opportunity to travel and spread the love of God, two of my favorite things!

As many of you know, in the summer of 2015 I went on my first missions trip to Haiti. Haiti and its people captured my heart and ever since visiting I have known that I wanted to serve through International Ministry. Applying to the World Race was a huge leap of faith for me, especially since most people my age are rigorously applying to college, but I trust that this is what the Lord has called me to do. The World Race will allow me to be the hands and feet of the Lord while traveling the Earth.

A little about myself:
I have one younger brother, Nick (15)
I enjoy riding my bike and walking my dogs, Ginger and Reece.
I have two cats, Tinkerbell and Nala.
I love to read and hang in hammocks.
I have an affinity for all things vintage. Records, Volkswagens, Polaroids, etc.
Like most girls, the thought of living out of a backpack with limited amounts of clothes for 9 months sort of scares me
I cannot wait to be able to travel and serve through the Race.

I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for me and the rest of my squad on this journey we are going to embark on! Thanks for visiting my blog!
