Fun Fact about being on the race…
you completely stop caring what other people might think about you.
We have been on ALT of the last 3 days and something that I have realized I love. Caring around a guitar, a djembe, and some drum sticks you can find a stage anywhere. Or not even a stage I would say, a place to worship. We have worshiped in the train station, in the middle of the city, on a college campus, at the church, there is really no place you can’t sit down and just start worshiping. (Unless authority tell you it is not allowed) But we make our own music, we sing our own songs, we worship what our heart feels. It doesn’t matter if other people think it sounds good…even though usually it does =)
There is no place that is off limits, there is no space that is specially made for worship. Worship happens everywhere. Worship happens where ever you want it to happen. You don’t even have to have music or instruments. God has taken my breath away just by sitting outside in the hills of Romania looking at all the life around me.
But most of all, if I want to worship to my own song, if we want to worship to our own song, we do it. We did it! And it was some of the best times that I have had. To not care what people think about what they hear but just to play from your heart. Sometimes it may not sound good at first but when you just let it take over and let your mind go, it is beautiful. Something happens, the atmosphere changes.
