“Brother! Sister!”  The kids are crying out.

When we first pull up to the orphanage where we will be for the month a girl comes out before we get out of the tuk tuk to give us a hug, and slowly one by one the trickle out. All welcoming us with hugs and asking what our name is inviting us to come in. I have never felt more at home in place that is not my home.
We get to take a tour around the place where the kids sleep and the volunteers stay. This is a place full of so much love and care. That all comes from the man who started this dream. A dream since he was little and in an orphanage himself. He dreamed of having a place where children could come and stay, with that he would be able to teach them the love of God. His heart is beautiful and serves the people that he lives with all the time. My leader was able to talk with our contact and “He doesn’t see them as orphans, he sees them as his sons and daughters. That’s the Kingdom.” I can’t wait to get involved with this ministry, getting to know him more and to see more of his vision, to know the kids and to love on them.
This is going to be an incredible month. All of our heart have already been stolen by this community and these people. We were able to play with the kids all day. One of them Rogh clicked with me right after the tour. Showing me trees around the site, which there are 3. Then we all played games as a group, and then just did our own things with the kids. This kid was sitting on my lap, running around playing tag with me, laying on the floor with me cause we were both tired, and at one point he said he loved me. In one day this is what I did. Not only did I get to play with him and be loved by him but many other children as well. Brother and sister!

I love Cambodia and I love these people. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in this place. Even though this may be the poorest and possibly one of the dirtiest place I believe it is beautiful. Everywhere I look around I see beauty, in the people, in the places. This place is marked, it is set apart.

Live in the Love.
