Here is how it works:
Since there are about 115 of us on the Jan 2010 race we were put into two squads, N & M. I am on Squad N
My squad is great and so much fun. We all love the Lord and are ready to serve! We also like to dance a lot! We have 2 squad leaders, Robby (in beanie laughing on the floor) & Tara (not in pic ;( ). They both have been on the race before and will travel with us the first four months or so and then pass the torch to two of us to take over that role.
Since this is a lot of people we were then put into teams of 6 or 7. Here is my team:
Team 12:18
Miranda, Matt (leader), Caleb, Lauren, Me, & Simone
They are fabulous and I am so excited to serve alongside them. This will be my family so please pray for all of us. When you see 12:18 on the clock please take a moment to remember and lift us up. Our name comes from 1 Cor 12:18 “But in fact God has arranged the parts of the body, every one of them, just as he wanted to be.”
We know that God brought us together and we are the right team to accomplish great things. We also know that we will always be exactly where God wants us to be. He will also use our unique giftings to love and help those we meet along the way. I am so blessed to be a part of Team 12:18 and hope you will lift them up with me. There are no repeat names here so if you click on the Team Blog page under links on the left and scroll to find their names listed on the left you can read up on who they all are if you would like to. Here are some things you can be praying for us:
-All of our financial support will come in.
-We will all completely surrender to be fully available for God to work through us.
-That we will be like minded and have deep community with each other.
-That we will stay healthy and strong the entire race.
-And that we will sharpen one another through being real, loving, and forgiving.
