We are not in Swaziland.
It’s the World Ra-ace!
It’s almost two weeks into month five. We are supposed to be doing ministry in Swaziland, but are still in South Africa waiting on our India visas to be approved. Since we can’t go anywhere without our passports being returned, we are waiting.
In this waiting, we found ourselves praying as a squad… Hey, God. Thanks for everything You’ve provided us with, but funds are low and we really kinda need a new place to stay…Oh, and please God, could it be for free? And could this same place also have something we could do to help while we are still here? Please?
Do you know what God said?
He said YOU GOT IT!
The next day a girl on the squad Googled churches in the area, found a church called Manna Christian Fellowship, and after a few discussions, we had a place to stay where we could pitch our tents, shower and cook. For the whole squad. For free.
AND the same church had a number of projects they would happily employ 40 plus free workers to help with!! There was everything from manual labor to organizing rooms to gardening to working in the kitchen (which I have gotten to help with) and more!
And are you ready for the really cool part?
The first day we worked, at least half their staff was out sick (not the cool part) and they really needed the extra hands to complete everything they needed to get done for a Thank You Tea they were hosting that night. God’s handprints were everywhere to be seen. He brought together two groups that needed each other right when they needed each other most. It’s not really that uncommon a thing, but it’s really cool to get to see it unfold as it happens!
So we wait to see what He has in store for us next. Whether it is staying in South Africa or moving on to Swaziland, He will put His awesomely awkward Q Squad exactly where He needs them!!

**This blog was written almost two weeks ago. We have just gotten our passports back and will be able to travel to India!! Yay!! Because of the delay in their return, though, we will be staying in South Africa for the duration of month 5 and move on to Swaziland in month 6. Mozambique has been removed from the route.
