This month, I have fallen completely in love with the people we have been given to serve and live life with.  As we got to know the teenagers and young adults in the house and see their love for God and their courage in the midst of drastic changes for them, my team and I were strengthened and encouraged ourselves.  Isn’t it amazing how God can use those we think He has sent us to minister to us?

As the time to leave these amazing young people drew closer, my team and I wanted to leave them with something to encourage them while we are no longer here in Phnom Penh with them.  We knew we were leaving when they were still trying to figure out where they would be staying, where their church would be and where (if) they would be able to continue their educations. Our conclusion was that in the midst of all the change, uncertainty and hardship in their life, the best way for us to show them our love and God's love for them was to pray for them and to ask you to do so as well. We asked each of them to write us a letter with prayer requests in them so we could share them with our supporters. When we told them that 100s of people all over the world would be praying for them, they looked astounded. I am so blessed to have you to turn to and to ask to help me lift these fellow Christians up.

The letters we received from our housemates were numerous and many were longer than we anticipated.  So instead of each of us including all the letters and prayer requests, we split them up.  Below are only two letters; my teammates have different letters posted.

Name: Seak Liu Age: 15

"Hello all of you. My name is Seak Liu I am 15 year old. I want to all of you pray for me about my studying, my health, my family to believe Jesus and all of us that stay here to have good health and God bless us. And one more thing I want all of you to pray for Cambodian people to believe and follow Jesus. Thank you."
