Last month in Ecuador, a couple of teams had a unique opportunity–to meet and hang out with a squad that was in month two of their World Race! One team met up with B squad during B squad’s first debrief. Team Vibrant Joy had the privilege of meeting with B squad a couple of times at their home for the month–they were literally down the road from us!
B Squad, listen up! This blog is for you guys!

Thanks for letting us invade your space for two nights when we both were in Ecuador. I noticed a few awesome things about B squad as soon as I met you guys:
1.) You are all SO excited for this journey and what the Lord is doing and what He will do. Never lose that sense of excitement! The Race is going to have hard moments, but don’t let those hard moments steal your excitement!
2.) You are all so welcoming!
3.) Your hunger for the Lord is SO real and so intense. Never settle for less than continuing to pursue Him in His entirety with all that you have. There is always more of Him to be had.
4.) You are all world changers.
5.) After one of the times I hung out with you I had a dream about your squad. All I remember is seeing this super pure and bright white light. I knew even in the dream that it represented you as a squad. It was a powerful light. As a squad, you shine forth the powerful light of Jesus so well. As you grow and mature during the rest of the Race, this light will only shine brighter.
6.) The way you worship the Lord is so encouraging. Keep pressing in and He WILL show you great and mighty things (see Jeremiah 33:3).
7.) You are a family–always fight for one another, even if it means having the hard conversations. The little envelopes that you had around the fireplace were so encouraging to see. I don’t know the exact purpose of them (encouragement? prayer? feedback?), but I know that those little envelopes, at the end of the day, bring you all closer as a squad and as a family. Those little envelopes show your heart of humility and unity for each other.
I wish that I could have gotten to know each of you better. If any of you want to continue to get to know myself or anyone else on R squad who you met, just reach out to myself or anyone else from R squad. It would be a privilege to continue to encourage such a powerful group of individuals.
