My last two weeks in Virginia were amazing.  I got to go to Busch Gardens with some friends, take my church youth group to Emerald Pointe, and had an unbelievable Bon Voyage party!

Well the Race has officially begun! This past week was launch in Washington D.C. We had several new sessions and worship services.  On the fourth of July, some of our squad took the bus into the city to see the fireworks.  We walked to the Iwojima Memorial and Arlington cemetery for the festivities.

We arrived in Dublin, Ireland yesterday, July  7th.  We took a bus to Belfast and then another here to Coletraine in Northern Ireland.  We have three small teams here that are plugging into the already existing ministries.  This morning we cleaned and set up for the morning worship services at Causeway Coast Vineyard Church, as well as served tea and coffee.  After the services, we helped with the Sunday food giveaway program.  Finally we broke into smaller groups and went out to eat dinner and explore some with the local families.
Caleb, Christina, and I went to Castlerock with our family.  After a delicious meal, we took a hiked up to a beautiful Irish castle overlooking the beach. Overall, it was a most spectacular first day of the World Race.
