Last night, I attended the Baptist Mission Council board meeting. It is so good to see all the projects that are taking place in our area, like the booknet project and truckstop ministry.
At the end of the meeting, I petitioned the members for their prayers while I am on the race. Each received a business card with my blog address; hopefully, they will take the message back to their home churches. It will be so cool to have a huge prayer chain all over Roanoke and beyond!
Tomorrow I am going to the travel clinic to get my yellow fever shot and a prescription for malaria medication. Blah! I am currently up to $1700 in donations from family and friends, as well as my church family at Roanoke Avenue Baptist.
Definitely keep me in your prayers in the coming months! I will be driving down to Atlanta in May for training camp and looking forward to meeting my new teammates. Please subscribe to my blog if you haven't already! Love you guys!
