Sitting next to a gazebo outside my apartment complex towards the end of June last year, I received a phone call that led me to the feelings of pure excitement, joy, progressing to fear and anxiety.

I was accepted to go on the adventure that I felt the Lord calling me to go on.  I was accepted to go on the World Race, a mission trip to partner with ministries in eleven countries to share the Gospel and the love of Christ.

Lord, how is this possible?

How is it possible to raise $15,500?  How is it possible to raise $3,500 in less than one month for my first deadline that I need to meet? Questions , worry, and doubt consumed me.

I couldn’t decide whether or not to trust the Lord on this one.

I sold my belongings and moved to my friend’s house.  However, I couldn’t quit my job because I didn’t know if the Lord would provide.  I trusted somewhat by selling my belongings; however, I was still clinging to the comfort of having a fall back, my second grade teaching job.

One morning, I woke up and called my brother to potentially not donate to my account because I didn’t think it was going to happen.  I didn’t think I’d even be able to meet the first deadline……

Now, 6 months later here I am in Malaysia and am extremely close to being fully funded to remain on this journey for the next 5 months!

If the Lord is calling you to something, He will provide.  Trust Him.  He created you. He created this world.  If He wants something done, trust Him.  He is faithful!

As the Israelites were being led from captivity in Egypt for 430 years, Moses said to the Israelites he was leading, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you to today.  The Egyptians you see today will never see again.  The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.”  Exodus 14:13-15

They trusted the Lord even when they were being pursued to be killed in the desert by Egyptians surrounding them.  They trusted because the Lord made a promise to bring them from captivity.  Then the Lord parted the Red Sea and made a path for them towards the freedom they were promised.

I encourage all of you to trust the Lord in every promise He has made you.  He is faithful!

On another note, thank you so much to all of my supporters!  I could not be here today without your prayers, your words of encouragement, and your financial support.  It would not be possible to be here without your generosity and willingness to support me on this mission to share the love of Christ to the nations by partnering with various ministries.  Thank you for building my faith and trust in the Lord.  My doubt in the beginning of the Lord’s plan has been transformed into a deeper trust in the Lord than I’ve ever had because of your support. Thank you for enabling me to be here and begin this journey the Lord has set apart for my life.  I am humbled by your support.  It is an honor to be able to be an ambassador for the Lord throughout the nations.
