One Hundred beautiful Thai children at an English camp we had served at for three days surrounded me and my team mates singing a farewell song that brought tears to the children’s eyes as well as ours.

In three days one hundred children were able to hear about Christ’s love for the first time in their lives.  We taught them about Christ’s birth and many of his miracles and healings.  We loved them through sharing skits about Jesus Christ, playing endless games of duck duck goose and link tag, creating crafts, and teaching them English.

In three days, the Holy Spirit moved in the school we taught at.  In a Buddhist nation and school, many of the children had never heard of Christ before.  The first day, the children would barely raise their hand to answer a question.  By the second day, when we asked if anyone needed a blessing over them spoken for healing either physically, mentally, or their family they NOT only raised their hands but walked to the front to receive prayer!

In three days, the children felt the love of Christ for the first time in their lives.  At the end of the camp, they had a closing ceremony for us.  They sang us a farewell song with tears falling quickly from their eyes as they would not only miss us.  They would not be crying that much from us in three days.  They were tears of missing learning about their heavenly father.

In three days, I was crying because of God’s love for me.  I am unworthy to be here and to represent Christ.  However, He has loved me so much to be able to use me in these children’s lives by sharing about His love.  The end of the English camp brought tears of joy knowing that God will do the same thing with some of these children; He is going to use them in mighty ways they had never planned or thought possible.

Even though we are all unworthy, God can and wants to use you in mighty ways.  It could be teaching kids about Christ for the first time. It could be telling a co-worker that they are loved by Christ.  It could be to fight sex trafficking in your own backyard.  It looks different for everyone. I am so blessed by the journey He has appointed me to.  I challenge you to be willing to do what God is calling you to do, as His journey is far greater than any journey we could ever imagine.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.” John 15:16

Please pray for these children to be discipled by future missionaries.  Please pray they  continue to long to desire to learn more about Christ.  Pray for the directors to come to know the Lord and this school help redeem the entire village and their families.
